Steve has been actively involved in the acquisition, design, financing, development and management of over 5,000 affordable multi-family housing over the past twenty years. He has been involved in a number of local, regional and national award winning affordable and market rate multi-family housing projects throughout California including the Mercado Apartments, Uptown District and Columbia Place in San Diego, Bridgecourt Apartments in Emeryville, Laurel Tree Apartments in Carlsbad, Via Roble and Brotherton Square in Escondido and the highly acclaimed Mission Bay Master Plan in San Francisco. Steve and his wife Cheri founded Wakeland Housing in 1998 as a legacy to their 3 daughters whose initials make up the company's name - Whitney Ann, Kelsey Elizabeth and Amy Lynn. Steve is a graduate of Stanford University and a California credentialed history and business teacher currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Santa Fe Christian Schools in Solana Beach.
