Resident Services Activity Leader
Position Overview
Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation is an affordable housing nonprofit developer. Wakeland Housing is looking for a Resident Services Activity Leader to work with the Resident Services Site Coordinator to provide organized social, recreational and enrichment activities at working at multiple Wakeland Housing sites. This position reports to the Resident Services Coordinator.
Qualifications
- One-year experience working in a nonprofit or social service environment.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent;
- Computer skills and ability to provide instruction in basic computer skills in a computer lab setting;
- Ability to organize and schedule tasks while maintaining accurate records of resident participation;
- Ability to outreach to residents about Resident Services Program;
- Ability to work well with diverse populations;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred, but not required;
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Continual outreach to residents and inform them of activities and programs to increase and maintain participation in programs;
- Ensure that service facilities are well organized and properly maintained;
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of participation in activities;
- Prepare monthly reports and complete resident evaluations of the services.
Salary and Benefits
Hourly Rate: $10.00 per hour approximately 8-16 hours per week.
