Project Description:

There are 60 units (30 two-bedrooms and 30 three-bedrooms). All of the units are rented to families earning 60% or less area median income.

Background & Status:

This is a new construction project. Construction began in October 2004 and was completed in April 2006. The project is owned by Beyer Boulevard Apartments, L.P., in which Wakeland is the sole general partner.

Financing Sources:

Tax-exempt bonds, tax credits and a loan from the San Diego Housing Commission.

Resident Services:

Resident Services include community events and a Business Center with internet access and self-paced job skill training program. After School Programs, computer classes, monthly mobile medical unit visits, Senior services, and Teen Programs are all available to residents.
