Project Description:

42 units (12 one-bedrooms, 16 two-bedrooms, and 14 three-bedrooms), all rented to families earning 60% or less area median income. Electricity for units and common areas provided by a solar photovoltaic system.

Background & Status:

New construction project: construction began March 2008, completed April 2009. Owned by Los Vecinos, LP in which Wakeland is the sole general partner. Received Platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

Low-income housing and solar tax credits, and loans from California Community Reinvestment Corporation and The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Chula Vista
