In addition to funding for projects, Wakeland also receives funds from banks, foundations and cities. These funds provide Wakeland with support for a variety of needs, including core operations and resident service programs.

Bank Foundation

We are fortunate to have supportive relationships with lending institutions committed to non-profit clients. We have received funding for organizational infrastructure and resident services programs. Participating banks include Bank of America, Washington Mutual, Wells Fargo, Union Bank of California, and US Bank.

City of Poway

In an effort to expand Wakeland's participation in the development of affordable housing in the City of Poway, the city allocated a capacity building grant that has enabled Wakeland to increase staff and strengthen infrastructure. Specifically, we have enhanced our resident services program, conducted strategic planning and effectively positioned Wakeland to work with the city on future projects.
