Wakeland’s Via Roble community was honored recently when the City of Escondido won an “award of excellence” for the project from the California Redevelopment Association. Developed and managed as a partnership between Trinity Housing and Wakeland, Via Roble is a mixed-use development of 72 affordable apartments, 10 single-family homes and nine shopkeeper units. The new community has been a catalyst for new development in the area.
