Job Summary
The IT Support Technician is responsible for offering support to the IT Manager and will be responsible for working with end users who are having problems with hardware, software or networking issues. IT Support Technician will also assist in the general overseeing of the computer system and procedures of the organization. The IT Support Technician will be based at Wakeland’s downtown corporate office, travel will be required.

Compensation:
$70,000-$80,000 DOE

The IT Support Technician is responsible for offering support to the IT Manager and will be responsible for working with end users who are having problems with hardware, software or networking issues. The IT Support Technician will be based at Wakeland’s downtown corporate office, travel will be required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides timely and accurate end user’s desktop OS and application support primarily on the Microsoft platform.
- Answers incoming requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
- Speaks with user to collect information about problems and leads user through diagnostic procedures.
- Triages the problem to identify if the source of the problem is hardware or software such as application, printer, cables, telephone, network, etc.
- Handles problem recognition, research, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems and escalating more complex problems to the IT manager.
- Responsible for maintaining hardware and software inventory, IT asset tracking, support ticketing, and software compliance.
- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Upgrade and troubleshoot various workstation and laptop hardware.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues including minor cable termination.
- Perform VPN client installation and support.
- Support conference room audio / visual hardware and software.
- Handles minor computer issues at the property sites. Travels to the sites for deliveries and required maintenance provides support needed to IT Manager.
- Setup and configure desktop and laptop computers, printers and other accessories to company standards, and perform minor to medium level troubleshooting to computer hardware and peripherals.
- Work independently and within a team environment.
- Help with tasks involving the NEW Power BI reporting Project / Data warehouse.
- Troubleshooting printers for Wakeland Offices and Wakeland Properties.
- Dell and Amazon equipment ordering.
- IT Onboarding and Offboarding employees.
- Office and Wakeland Property Firewall setup and troubleshooting.
- Adopt, setup and configure Unifi Networking Hardware.
- Other duties as required.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively provide oral and written communication to end users at all levels within the organizations.
- Strong technical ability and troubleshooting skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong experience in the support of Client desktop environment, especially Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office 365 and Office suite of applications, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom and various VPN types.
- Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and integrity.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving attitude.
- Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Windows 10 & 11 Operating System.
- Cloud-based services including Office 365.
- Microsoft Windows Server.
- Active Directory.
- The Service Desk Technician must possess a minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting network and desktop technology comprised of the following technologies.
- Network backbone devices including switches, routers and firewalls.
- Remote control and system monitoring software.
- Enterprise anti-virus and malware protection solutions.
