Description:
85 affordable homes for seniors age 55+ earning 30-60% of the Area Median Income (AMI), including 42 homes reserved as supportive housing for seniors age 62 and older who are exiting homelessness.

Background & Design:
La Sábila Apartments is a new community of 85 affordable homes with onsite services tailored to the needs of low-income seniors 55 and older, located in unincorporated San Diego County near Vista. The 5.5-acre property is pet-friendly and amenity rich. Forty-two units are reserved for seniors 62 and older who are exiting homelessness to ensure that this vulnerable population gets access to affordable homes.​

The design includes one large two-story “U”-shaped building with two elevators connected by walkways and beautiful community space that hosts onsite services and social activities for residents. There are also ample outdoor amenities in the central courtyard including community garden beds, a meditation lawn, comfortable outdoor seating and pet relief area.

Resident Services:
Residents have access to onsite programs that promote wellness, connection, and support for aging in place.

  • County of San Diego Health and Human Services Behavioral Health Services, through their contracted third party service providers, offers case management and behavioral health care to residents with higher needs.
