Resident Services Site Coordinator - Inland Empire
Position Overview
Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation is a nonprofit affordable housing developer. Wakeland is looking for a Resident Services Site Coordinator to provide organized social, recreational and enrichment activities at two housing communities in San Bernardino and Hemet, CA. Primary responsibilities are running of a daily after school program, assisting adults in computer workshops and organizing community events.

Required Skills and Abilities
Sound command of the English language and ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to speak professionally and effectively with guests and associates throughout the organization in both public and private forums. Must be able to successfully conduct and accomplish multiple tasks and possess strong organizational and problem solving skills. Must also be able to work well with others.
Pay Rate
$13.50 per hour plus benefits
Hours
30 hours per week . Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. in San Bernardino, and Wednesday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Hemet, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. in San Bernardino

Qualifications
- Must be a high school graduate or possess GED equivalency
- Experience in working with youth in after school, childcare, day camp setting or social service environment required
- Ability to lead activities, such as sports, games, events and curriculum activities
- Ability to organize and schedule tasks while maintaining accurate records of resident participation
- Ability to outreach our Resident Services Programs and Events to residents
- Must have a warm and friendly personality
- Must work well with youth, adults, and diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to facilitate various workshops to large and small groups
- Must be well-organized and have a willingness to fulfill the job responsibilities
- Ability to respond to critical incidents and the ability to act in an emergency situation
- Must know Excel and Word and must be able to provide instruction on basic computer skills in a computer lab setting
- Valid California driver's license and/or reliable transportation
- Criminal record clearance by being fingerprinted prior to reporting to work
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds or more
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player
- Ability to facilitate resident forums and meetings
- Ability to plan, organize and implement community events
- Ability to improvise program and activities for youth highly desired
