Resident Services Coordinator - San Diego, CA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Resident Services Coordinator to support youth and adult residents through meaningful programs, activities, and community resource connections. Under the direction of the Resident Services Manager, this role designs and leads after school programming, adult workshops, life skills education, and community events that enhance resident well-being and self-sufficiency.

Compensation:

$25 per hour

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead after school programs (homework help, enrichment activities, recreation, arts & crafts).


• Develop and implement workshops and programs for adult residents.


• Assist residents with resumes, cover letters, and job applications.


• Connect residents to supportive services and community resources.


• Host programs across multiple community centers.


• Complete monthly administrative tasks in Share Drive and Resident Connect System.


• Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations.


• Maintain a clean and organized center (may include lifting up to 40 lbs).


• Conduct ongoing outreach to promote program participation.


• Maintain program files for compliance, including TCAC audit requirements.


• Collaborate with the Resident Services Manager on events and program development.


• Provide financial wellness support (budgeting, tax forms, understanding credit reports, improving FICO scores).


• Facilitate specialized workshops (IDA savings, ESL, financial wellness).


• Support food distribution while maintaining safety standards.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

Experience working with diverse and challenging populations.


• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva, and online research.


• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.


• Able to work across multiple program locations.


• Required certifications: Mandated Reporter, CPR, Mental Health First Aid, Food Handler.


• Must pass a DOJ and FBI background check.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with diverse and challenging populations.


• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canva, and online research.


• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.


• Able to work across multiple program locations.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • One or more years of experience in community outreach, customer service, transportation, or resident services preferred.
