OVERVIEW
The Willows is a new permanent supportive housing community planned for construction at 15804 Lakewood Blvd. in Bellflower. It will offer 51 new affordable apartment homes in a beautifully designed, well-managed building where residents can build stable, healthy lives. The property will be owned and operated by Wakeland Housing, a respected, mission-driven nonprofit known for maintaining its communities with care and for being a responsive, hands-on neighbor.
Each resident will have a long-term lease, follow community guidelines, and live in a secure, well-managed home — just like in any other apartment. This proven approach creates stability and helps residents build healthy, independent lives. Wakeland has used this model successfully at other Los Angeles and San Diego communities that are quiet, well cared for, and valued by their neighbors.

TIMELINE
The Willows is now in the funding stage of development. We look forward to welcoming residents in 2029.

Wakeland held an in-person community meeting on Monday, December 15, 2025 to share details about the design, operations and management, and answer community members' questions.
