Gamaliel Vazquez
Director of Asset Management
Gamaliel Vazquez is a valued leader on the operations team at Wakeland, bringing expertise in multifamily real estate management to his position as Director of Asset Management. In his current role, he oversees Wakeland’s property management companies to ensure our communities run smoothly while also achieving high standards of affordable housing maintenance and compliance. His strengths aide our organization across a number of areas, ranging from monthly property operations to new community lease-up and annual budgeting.
Prior to coming to Wakeland, Mr. Vazquez was a senior property manager overseeing multiple high-end properties in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media Communications from California State University, San Marcos and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Mr. Vazquez is also a certified housing tax credit Site Compliance Specialist.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, guitar and bass, as well as volunteering his time at orphanages in Tijuana, Mexico.
