The Home Depot Foundation Gives $450,000 To Wakeland
Grant Will Provide Funds for ‘Home Front at Camp Anza’
March 3, 2015
Sincere thanks go out to The Home Depot Foundation and its Board of Directors, which recently gave Wakeland $450,000 toward our Home Front at Camp Anza project. Due to their generosity, the City of Riverside will soon welcome its first affordable housing community tailored to the needs of veterans and their households.
Home Front at Camp Anza is currently under construction at the former site of a historic WWII Army training camp in Riverside. During construction, the camp’s historic Officers Club will be rehabilitated and turned into an on-site community center.
In keeping with The Home Depot’s goal of improving the homes and lives of veterans, this grant will exclusively fund the new construction homes portion of the development.
