Wakeland Housing and Wells Fargo came together with residents and volunteers to plant the first garden beds in La Entrada's new community garden — creating a vibrant space designed to bring color, creativity, and connection to the property.
Thanks to a generous grant from Wells Fargo as part of their #WelcomeHome initiative, this effort transforms an underused outdoor area into a welcoming gathering place where neighbors can relax, reflect, and build relationships. A resident-led gardening club will continue to grow and care for the space year-round, cultivating a sense of pride and collaboration.
La Entrada is a thriving community in Riverside’s Chicago-Linden neighborhood, offering 65 affordable homes for families and individuals — including eight supportive housing units for people overcoming homelessness — with onsite resident services provided by Mercy House Living Centers.
🌱 Special thanks to Wells Fargo for their generous support and to the Mercy House volunteers who joined residents to bring this garden to life. Together, we’re helping this community grow and thrive.
