Palomar Point Ceremonial Groundbreaking

Wakeland Housing joined partners and local leaders for a ceremonial groundbreaking celebrating the future of Palomar Point in Chula Vista — a Permanent Supportive Housing community that will transform an existing motel into 27 safe, supportive homes, including 7 dedicated for formerly homeless veterans.

We were honored to be joined by Chula Vista Mayor John McCann, Deputy Mayor @Cesar Fernandez, and County of San Diego Director of Housing and Community Development Services David Estrella.

Palomar Point reflects a shared commitment to pairing housing with onsite supportive services that promote stability, dignity, and long-term well-being. We’re grateful for the collaboration and public investment that make projects like this possible.
