Founder and Principal of Trinity Mortgage Fund (and Wakeland Founder)
Steve Kuptz has been actively involved in the acquisition, design, financing, development and management of more than 5,000 units of affordable housing over the past thirty years. This work includes a number of local, regional and national award-winning affordable and market rate multi-family housing developments throughout California including: the Mercado Apartments, Uptown District and Columbia Place in San Diego; Bridgecourt Apartments in Emeryville; Laurel Tree Apartments in Carlsbad; Via Roble and Brotherton Square in Escondido; and the highly acclaimed Mission Bay Master Plan in San Francisco.
Mr. Kuptz and his wife Cheri founded Wakeland in 1998 as a legacy to their three daughters, whose initials make up the company's name - Whitney Ann, Kelsey Elizabeth and Amy Lynn.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and graduate of Stanford University, currently serving as the Founder and Principal of Trinity Mortgage Fund, $30 million San Diego-based private lending fund.
