Tricia Tasto Levien
Vice President of Operations
Tricia Tasto Levien has more than two decades of experience in housing programs, government relations and project management, with expertise in legislative activities and supportive housing development and operations. As Wakeland’s Vice President of Operations, she is responsible for the oversight of Wakeland’s resident services, supportive housing and asset management of the organization’s housing portfolio.
Ms. Tasto Levien started at Wakeland in 2013 as our Supportive Housing Director, playing an instrumental role in launching Wakeland’s supportive housing program and working closely with outside supportive service providers to ensure our residents thrive. She was previously a Senior Program Manager for the Corporation for Supportive Housing’s (CSH) San Diego office, providing training and technical assistance to help local communities develop and operate supportive housing. She also played a lead role in advising the County of San Diego on the implementation of San Diego’s Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Housing Program and provided project-specific assistance to development teams.
Prior to CSH, Ms. Tasto Levien served as Manager for the Los Angeles Community Development Commission/Housing Authority’s Intergovernmental Relations and Public Information unit, where she oversaw the Commission’s legislative activities and public relations; analyzed federal, state and local legislation; and represented the Commission at the federal, state and local levels. She also served as a Project Manager for Shelter Partnership, providing assistance to various homeless and housing nonprofits and public agency clients in Los Angeles; and as Policy and Budget Analyst for the Los Angeles Office of the Mayor.
Ms. Tasto Levien shares her expertise in supportive housing by serving as the Vice-Chair of the San Diego Continuum of Care Governance Board Committee and Vice-Chair of the Continuum of Care Ad Hoc Committee on Aging and Homelessness.
Ms. Tasto Levien holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She is also a certified “Dog Mom” and can often be found at her local dog park.
